Immunization guidelines for school children

School Health Information

A school nurse is available during school hours. If your child becomes ill during the school day, you will be contacted to make arrangements to pick them up. Your child must be fever free without medications or free of vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours before they may return to school.

Immunizations

We follow Minnesota Department of Health guidelines regarding student immunizations. For the health and safety of all students and staff, proper immunizations are required for school attendance.

On the left side of this page is a link to the Minnesota Department of Health's web site with detailed immunization information.

We encourage all school community members to get annual flu shots.

Medication Distribution

If your child needs to take short or long-term medications, written authorization from parents must be on file with the school. In addition, long-term medications and some other medications need annual approval from a medical doctor. Please see the Student Handbook for further details.
