Program Basics

Your Sponsor

Please choose your sponsor before beginning your courses as they need to attend courses and team with you on homework. You may have more than one person. Sponsors need to be at least 16 and confirmed, active Catholics. Parents may not be sponsors.

Your Retreats

Candidates must attend at least one weekend conversion retreat. Current Conversion Retreat choices include: NET D-Week, Steubenville North, Teen Life in the Spirit. NET Confirmation Retreats are available but will not be done as a St Pius X group.

The second retreat is an Evening of Reflection with Practice for Confirmation just prior to receiving the Sacrament. 

Your Core Courses

Eight courses taken in any order, currently scheduled for two hours on a Sunday evening. Each course is taken once and followed by a homework project. Homework should be done immediately following each course with your sponsor and saved in a folder until your interview two months prior to Confirmation.

 
High School Faith Formation (HSFF)

This program is a vital part of your Confirmation process. It was introduced in 2006 to provide small group contact for students in or having completed the Confirmation process.  The 8 courses provide only an introduction to the sacrament, the HSFF Wednesday evenings dig deeper into the themes to help ground each student in their faith.
