Conversion Retreat

A time to meet God and move forward empowered through reflection, the Sacraments, prayer, and community.  A conversion retreat has as its focus the Trinity and the Paschal Mystery.  It includes the use of the Sacraments to move a person to initial and subsequent communion, a personal relationship with God.  Points of conversion or choice to personally follow Jesus Christ with his Church might occur apart from and prior to a conversion retreat.  Please contact the coordinator if this is your case so that a follow-up experience may be suggested.  On occasion, a student might attend a retreat experience too soon or in a state of duress.  Please consider this in the scheduling of a retreat and contact the coordinator for suggestions to prepare the student.

Evening of Reflection

The Evening of Reflection takes place one month prior to our fall Confirmation date.  It provides guided reflection on the upcoming Sacrament.  Sponsors and Candidates will receive information for their Rite of Confirmation regarding dress, parking, Mass participation, and practice the responses given to the Bishop.

Current Conversion Retreat Selections:

Steubenville North Youth Conference – Held annually for 2200 students the last weekend in July or the first weekend in August at the University of St. Thomas with a pre-retreat day in northern Minnesota for the St. Pius group.  Registration takes place online between January 15 and April 1.  For information and registration, go to Current Activities.

Teen Life in the Spirit – Scheduled for a weekend in early December or January at Dunrovin Retreat Center coordinated by St. Pius X and St. Genevieve and Early May at Camp Friendship in Annandale coordinated by the Church of St. Paul.  Registration at the Faith Formation Office by November 15. Twin Cities TEC – Together Encounter Christ Retreats are scheduled monthly at www.twincitiestec.org and are for persons age 15 through adult.  It is strongly recommended that a close friend, sponsor, or relative attends a prior TEC, Koinonia, or Cursillo retreat before the student attends their weekend.

NET Ministries D-Week - takes place in mid-June in West St. Paul. Register and pay two months prior at www.netusa.org
