Retreats are a powerful way to encounter Christ for the first time or to renew your relationship with him! They give you the opportunity to set aside your normal responsibilities and focus on Christ for a day, a weekend or longer.
We are blessed to have retreat opportunities available for men and women of all ages available within a short driving distance from White Bear Lake.
Men’s Ignatian Retreats at Demontreville
Each year more than 3,000 men from all walks of life participate in retreats at the Demontreville Jesuit Retreat House. Retreats at Demontreville have one theme: to know, love, and serve God in this world. To really know, love, and serve God, however, one must know oneself. The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola (1491-1556) provide a wonderful method for doing this. They help us see who we are - one loved by God. They help us realize we are called by God to follow Jesus Christ, who became man over 2,000 years ago to show us how to live. He still shows us how to live today.

TEC Retreats
TEC retreats focus on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. TEC encourages a deeper relationship with God, others, and the Church. The retreat begins at 9:30 am on the first day and ends at 4:30 pm on the third day. TEC is a great way to take some time to grow in faith in the midst of your busy schedule. You must be 16 or older to attend.

Pacem in Terris
To be alone with God is vital to spirituality. Nevertheless, most of us tend to neglect or push aside opportunities to move deeper into intimacy with Him. With fast-paced, noisy, hectic and over-scheduled lives, we struggle daily to meet our personal needs and to balance relationships. Listening to others (truly listening) seems almost impossible - and it is even more difficult to hear one's inner voice or the voice of God. Pacem in Terris is a hermitage sanctuary, where guests can be free of daily distractions, pressures and obligations. Without schedules or expectations to meet, the hermit can more simply follow Christ's example of seeking a "lonely place to pray", allow God to become the sole retreat director, and find rest in body, mind and spirit.
